Mighty Earth is a global campaign organization that works to protect the environment. We focus on the big issues: conserving threatened landscapes like tropical rainforests, protecting oceans, and solving climate change.


WildArk is a registered not-for-profit committed to supporting conservation initiatives that have tangible outcomes for biodiversity protection worldwide. They invest in scientific research and help protect land for conservation as well as share positive, uplifting stories of successes in order to inspire others to reconnect with nature and work to protect it.

The event will give you a chance to shake hands with a multitude of people, whether you are an emerging professional, a seasoned veteran in the sustainability circuit, or just interested in finding out more about the community of sustainability enthusiasts and getting acquainted with their work.

Whether you're green industry, an environmental advocate, or simply looking to meet some people with similar interests across the broad spectrum of sustainability (be it renewable energy, transportation and planning, architecture and design, organics, nature), you'll be in good company at Green Drinks…

Do you live in Atlanta? Do you care about the environment & sustainability issues? Whatever your job, your degree of involvement, we welcome you to join Atlanta GREEN DRINKS, an always-free monthly social/networking event (2nd Wednesday of the month, 6-9pm) for like-minded locals to connect in a casual, relaxed space (& if you so choose) over drinks...

This month we're partnering with local non-profit GROUNDWORK Atlanta and hosting Green Drinks at WHOLE FOODSbrand new flagship location in Midtown—a 70,000 sq ft, multi-level store with 4 eateries, a Dtox juice bar, Farm Burger & Allegro Coffee Company, and over 1,500 local items from 250 suppliers.

Please join us at the Canopy Court rooftop terrace, which features skyline views overlooking 14th Street, a faux grass play space with cornhole & jumbo Jenga, and shipping container bar serving wine, local beer on tap, and local fare. We'll have some free appetizer plates for Green Drinks' guests (while they last!) ... Feel free to explore during the event, please just watch the signs for drink restrictions!

GROUNDWORK Atlanta works strategically and collaboratively to advance environmental projects that improve communities and quality of life in Atlanta. Our initial focus area is historically under-served parts of northwest Atlanta, including the Chattahoochee River and Proctor Creek watersheds.

Their programs include:

  • Urban Agriculture - In partnership with the Atlanta Mayor's Office of Resilience, we provide access to underutilized land for community gardens and farms, along with insurance and technical support.

  • Brownfield Redevelopment - We work with the U.S. EPA, the City of Atlanta, Trust for Public Land, and other partners to identify and remediate contaminated sites for community-oriented redevelopment.

  • Multi-use Path Network - In collaboration with Riverwalk Atlanta, the Path Foundation, and many others, we support planning and implementation of multi-use paths in Northwest Atlanta.

ATL enviros, please join us for April Green Drinks at GENERATOR, a new civic-based, public think tank by BeltLine creator Ryan Gravel seeking to improve cities and communities through workshops and programming. Located on the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail at the Telephone Factory Lofts, it’s also home to the upcoming restaurant AFTERCAR, a philanthropub that will help fund Generator.

This month is a joint social/networking event! GREEN DRINKS friends, meet the YOUNG PROFESSIONALS IN TRANSPORTATION Atlanta Chapter’s ‘Transit Oriented Drinks’ (TOD) … We thought y’all might have a few things in common.

Join us for free local craft beer & Talero organic tequila on Wednesday, March 20th 6-9pm at THE PATCH WORKS Art & History Center, located in Cabbagetown at 593 Gaskill Street (corner of Gaskill & Carroll St, next to Agave). Enjoy after-hours access + viewing of the exhibits.

We're especially welcoming the City of Atlanta Sustainability Ambassadors this eve, Metro Atlanta citizens and youth who have gone through or are currently enrolled in the Mayor's Office of Resilience 8-week Sustainability Ambassador Program. The program details work done in the office to make the City more environmentally, economically, and equitably resilient. The program also aims to support these citizens in their goals to be better stewards of the environment. [Spring session just started Sat, Feb 9th]

Generator is located on the lower level of the Telephone Factory Lofts at 828 Ralph McGill Blvd. The entrance faces the BeltLine under a Magnolia Tree. Wildlife conservation org WildArk has a fantastic office space right along the Atlanta BeltLine in Old Fourth Ward next to Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, and they're generously hosting the next Green Drinks! The 2-story, brick-walled structure, built in 1890, features high ceilings, a lovely patio & rooftop deck.

The event is free to attend and includes free drinks this month (SweetWater & Eventide beer, organic wine, Talero organic tequila, Prairie organic vodka jello shots + Montane sparkling spring water). All enviros are welcome (21 to drink)—it's all social/networking, feel free to stop by any time from 6-9pm...

DIRECTIONS TO WILDARK: John Wesley Dobbs terminates into the BeltLine between Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall and WildArk's building (691 John Wesley Dobbs Ave). At the end of the parking lot (Ladybird's entrance will be on your left, WildArk's building on your right) there is a small staircase at the corner of the building that leads to walkway which parallels/faces the BeltLine. Follow that down the building until you see the sign for WildArk. The office is also directly accessible from the BeltLine. There is free parking in the lot behind Ladybird, however walking, biking, carpooling/rideshare and transit options all encouraged.

For August we're back at the iconic Flatiron Building — built in 1897, our city's second & oldest standing skyscraper and current home to FlatironCity, a next gen office/co-working space born from an extensive 2015 renovation that now houses groups including the 2nd US Microsoft Innovation Center, City of Atlanta's Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI), and the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), a Georgia Tech incubator helping GA companies launch & build successful companies. 

Free drinks this month... All local craft beer, wine, Talero Organic Tequila and Prairie Organic Vodka jello shots.

Lite bites: earth-friendly chocolates, snack bars, etc.

Free entry as always, 21+ to drink, all are welcome... Join us any time from 6-9, meet in the first floor Lounge, enter via Peachtree Street (main entrance) or back side of building on Broad Street.

Another month, another second Wednesday, and another Green Drinks! Meet us for March underneath the historic Georgian Terrace Hotel at Proof & Provision, the 100-year-old, brick-walled basement they turned into a cozy, dim lit bar/restaurant serving barrel-aged cocktails, small plates, sandwiches, and locally-sourced, housemade charcuterie.

Free entry, cash bar, raffle prizes, beer & punch specials for our group. All enviros welcome (21+ to drink), no RSVP required — stop by any time from 6-9!

Built in 1897 on the wedge-shaped block between Peachtree, Poplar & Broad Street, the 11-story tower is Atlanta's oldest standing skyscraper and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Following a $12M renovation, in 2015 the building was re-imagined as FlatironCity, a next gen office space including groups like WEI (City of Atlanta's Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative), the Microsoft Innovation Center, and ATDC, a Georgia Tech incubator helping GA companies launch & build successful companies.

HAMPTON + HUDSON, a newly opened community bar & restaurant in Inman Park, will be hosting our October Green Drinks! One of the “most anticipated restaurant openings for 2016,” H+H is helmed by Billy & Jenn Streck (GRAIN, Cypress Street) with Jason Hall (Saltyard, Livingston) as exec chef. Quietly tucked into the lower level of Inman Quarter's courtyard (across from MF Sushi; BeetleCat, Amer, Bread & Butterfly above), H+H features a huge bar made from antique barn wood and repurposed cabinetry, brown leather booths, tall ceilings, paned glass windows and custom Tobin Hagler light fixtures strung with Edison bulbs. Add to that an extensive drinks menu including 22 beers on tap, wine, a cocktail list featuring “tweaked classics” and seasonal beverages, food sourced from local farmers, an outside patio, foosball + darts.

For September we'll be joining a fantastic group of like-minded folks, CNU ATLANTA, and partnering up on their monthly Thirsty Third Thursdays (T3) — we settled on Green Drinks' usual Wed night, as Thurs was booked :) — at the beautiful farm-to-table, Southern dining restaurant TRACE, located right inside the W Atlanta - Midtown.
