Have you ever wondered why the Climate Change issue has been so controversial? Or why it has been so difficult to get substantive climate action taken in Congress?
Come find out! Join the Sierra Club's Gwinnett Chapter to view MERCHANTS OF DOUBT, the award-winning documentary that illuminates the false “debate” around climate change. Based on the book by Dr. Erik Conway and Dr. Naomi Oreskes, this film highlights how a small group of spin doctors have spread misinformation and confusion among American citizens to delay progress on such important issues from health effects of tobacco and fire retardants to global climate change. In addition to the movie, the program will include discussions of pending climate change proposals and coming significant events.
Doors will open at 7:00 for dessert [food is still to be determined] and discussion. The film starts at 8:00 and lasts approximately 1 and ½ hours.
