Workshop: Pay-it-Forward Medicine Making

  • Wylde Center's Edgewood Community Learning Garden 1503 Hardee Street NE Atlanta, GA 30307 United States (map)

Combine learning with service in this unique workshop. Discover the satisfying and empowering experience of creating plant medicine and learn lessons and techniques you can use to create your own home apothecary. And the best part? Your hard work will help provide much needed healthcare to Atlanta’s underserved communities.

Join together as we make remedies to stock the apothecary of the Herbalista Free Clinic, aka the Herb Bus. The Herb Bus is a traveling free herbal clinic that provides earth-based care for Atlanta communities in need of healthcare but unable to afford it.  We will make batches of some of our most needed herbal preparations, reviewing a variety of medicine making skills from beginner to more advanced techniques.  Participants will go home with new skills, a sample of their creations, and the knowledge that they have made batches of sweet, sweet herbal medicine to nurture their neighbors.

Join us in advance for an Edible and Medicinal Plant Ramble! Find out more!
